Solenostoma tetragonum Pearl liverwort

Solenostoma tetragonum Pearl liverwort

Catalog Number
AP-1250
Description
A foliose liverwort found in the same place as Bucephalandra motleyana "Gunung Sumpit" on the island of Borneo. We think it may belong to the species Solenostoma tetragonum (synonym: Jungermannia tetragona), a liverwort largely distributed in the Asian tropics that is found in moist places. This slow-growing moss forms nice cushions from its ascending shoots with a very dense foliage with round leaflets. A single shoot is approx. 3 mm wide. Medium light, CO2 injection and a regular nutrient supply through the water are recommendable for this relatively demanding moss.
