Caprifoliaceae is a family of dicotyledons with more than 500 species in 15 genera worldwide, mainly in the high altitude mountains of the northern temperate and tropical zones, with the most species in East Asia and eastern North America, and individual genera in Oceania and South America. Plants in this family are mostly shrubs or woody vines, sometimes small trees or shrubs, with fleshy berries, drupes, capsules, achenes, or nuts.
Caprifoliaceae plants have pharmacological effects such as anti-pathogenic microorganisms, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic, antioxidant, anti-tumor, anti-allergic, anti-atherosclerosis, hypolipidemic, hepatoprotective, and immunomodulatory.
In recent years, Caprifoliaceae plants have been grown in more and more extensive areas, and how to improve their yield and quality has been of great concern, while tissue culture technology has important applications in the preservation of plant germplasm and rapid breeding of good varieties.
Lifeasible has screened the best priming, succession, seedling, and rooting media for the induction of adventitious shoots and rooting media of Caprifoliaceae plants, and has established an efficient and stable rapid propagation technology system suitable for the mass production of Caprifoliaceae plants. Our tissue culture system can be used for the domestication of Caprifoliaceae plants, exploitation research, new species selection, and quantitative breeding.
Some of the Caprifoliaceae plants that we have successfully tissue cultured
Lifeasible mostly selects terminal buds, axillary buds, short branches with axillary buds, and leaves as explants during tissue culture of Caprifoliaceae plants.
The tissue culture micropropagation technology provided by Lifeasible extends the traditional nutritional propagation technology and has the advantages of higher propagation efficiency and larger propagation coefficient, which is suitable for the mass expansion of excellent Caprifoliaceae species. Moreover, we have optimized the sterilization protocol, basic medium, explants, and the process of succession, rooting, seedling refinement, and transplanting in the tissue culture of Caprifoliaceae plants based on our rich experience, and established an efficient system of Caprifoliaceae plants in vitro fast propagation.
