Description
This light green variant of Rotala rotundifolia was found in Laos. It resembles Rotala rotundifolia "Periya" that originates from India. As well as that plant, it has a bushy submerged growth habit.
Generally, the forms of the very variable Rotala rotundifolia are quite easy aquarium plants. However they look best with good lighting, CO2 addition and complete macro- and micronutrient supply. The bushy growth is maintaining by occasional trimming and replanting of too long shoots.
Rotala rotundifolia "Laos" looks especially well as a bush in the midground. It provides an effective contrast to dark green and red plants with its light green colour.
