Description
The Cutleaf Watermilfoil is native to lakes and swamps in the eastern part of North America. Labeled "Myriophyllum scabratum" and "M. hippuroides", it is a standard aquarium plant for many years. Its long, moderately branched stems are reddish and very densely set with finely pinnate, medium green leaves.
Myriophyllum pinnatum is not very demanding, however at least medium lighting and lower temperatures up to 25℃ are recommended. According to its temperate to subtropic origin, it is also well suited for cold water tanks.
This densely and finely leaved stem plant looks well as a group in the midground to background of taller aquariums. It is also recommendable for North America-themed biotope tanks.
