Common Name
Orange Java fern
Description
The leaves of this rather unknown Java fern variant are comparable to those of M. pteropus 'Narrow' in form and size, however, they have an interesting coloration. The plant has narrow lanceolate leaves around 15-25 cm in length and 18-23 mm in width. The tips and the central vein of the young leaves are brown-orange or brownish-red, similar to the larger much more wide-leaved M. pteropus 'Red' from southern Thailand. Older leaves are of a medium to light green.
