Common Name
Ruby Ludwigia
Description
This Ludwigia takes on an intensive wine red colour under water and is less demanding than the more narrow-leaved L. glandulosa, which has a similar colour. In trade it can be found under several names, e.g. as Ludwigia repens "Rubin", Ludwigia sp. "Weinrot" and, erroneously, as "Ludwigia glandulosa". It looks a bit like Ludwigia repens, however, it is probably a hybrid.
