Description
The Carolina grasswort is a turf-forming plant from North America and the southern part of South America. It is more rarely available than the Brazilian grasswort, L. brasiliensis, and differs from it i. a. by spathulate leaves with blunt tip. In its terrestrial form, Lilaeopsis carolinensis gets taller than L. brasiliensis, but it stays similarly short when it grows under water.
