This Lagenandra looks a lot like a medium-sized wide-leaved Cryptocoryne. Leaf structure and colouring of the submerged leaves Under good light it has a nice orange-brown to pink leaf colour. It grows to 10 to 30 cm in height and has a spreading growth habit. Other than most crypts, it does not form underground runners, but has a thick rhizome.
