Description
This plant is labeled by the nursery Aquaflora (Netherlands) as Nomaphila siamensis 'Parvifolia Green'. It resembles Hygrophila corymbosa 'Kompakt' (also traded as Nomaphila siamensis 'Parvifolia') but has a larger overall size. The quite broad submerged leaves are light green, the stems relatively compact and multi-branched. The plant is normally delivered in its emersed (terrestrial) form, having darker foliage.
This Hygrophila has a moderate growth rate and is quite undemanding. At least medium lighting and good nutrient, especially Potassium supply is recommended. Occasional pruning contributes to a dense, bushy growth of this stem plant.
Hygrophila corymbosa "Parvifolia Green" is a still little known selection of H. corymbosa that looks especially well as a bush in the midground.
