Description
A rare Eriocaulon that likely comes from Asia, comparable with Eriocaulon cinereum. It forms a round, hedgehog-like, quite small leaf rosette. The rigid, narrow leaves are quite dark coloured underneath, to which the trade name "Black Ball" probably refers.
Strong lighting, rather soft water, a type of Aquasoil as substrate and good CO2 supply (about 20-30 mg/L) are recommended.
Eriocaulon sp. "Black Ball" is a special eyecatcher when planted as accent in the foreground or midground.
