Description
Eriocaulon cinereum has a wide distribution in the warm areas of Asia, Africa and Australia where it occurs in wet, temporarily flooded places. This quite small Eriocaulon develops a compact, hedgehog-like rosette with narrow, rigid leaves. Under water it has a silvery green hue. Not rarely it develops its hat pin-like inflorescences.
With its special, exotic appearance, Eriocaulon cinereum works best as an accent plant in the foreground to midground, in an open place.
