Description
Introduced as Rotala sp. "Araguaia", this quite small stem plant from Brazil turned out as the first Cuphea species in the aquarium hobby. Under intense lighting the upper sides of the leaves develop a bright red to orange red coloration while the stem remains green.
Much light, good CO2 and nutrient supply and rather soft water are recommendable.
This plant grows strictly vertical. Best placed as group in the midground, it makes a nice colour accent.
