Catalog Number
AP-1132
Description
An undemanding, very fast growing plant, used since the beginning of the aquarium hobby. The Rigid Hornwort or Coontail has a nearly worldwide distribution, especially in nutrient-rich waters. Ceratophyllum species do not have roots, they grow planted in the ground as well as free floating below the surface. The Rigid Hornwort can be used for cold as well as tropical tanks and is recommendable for initial planting. It absorbs excess nutrients very quickly, which makes it a great ally for battling algae. It is also very recommendable for fish and shrimp breeding tanks.
