Description
Bucephalandra motleyana "Riam Macam" is a relatively small Bucephalandra variant. It has only been imported very few times up to now, and it is still very rare in the hobby. Its trade name probably refers to the species location, Riam Macan in West-Kalimantan. This Bucephalandra has a relatively flat spreading growth habit, with a creeping rhizome. It is quite similar to Bucephalandra "Braun-rot", however, the leaves are coarser and have a lighter greyish-green colour almost bordering on blue, and the plant grows more slowly. Its flowers are larger, the spathe is white.
