Description
This is a gorgeous dwarfish, low-growing Bucephalandra with narrow leaves. It is still very rare but already propagated in nurseries. Despite its trade name, its species identity is still unsure. Possibly it does not belong to the species B. catherineae.
Bucephalandra sp. "Mini Catherinae" has quite short leaves as young plant, but with time it develops nearly linear, wavy leaves with very short stalks. It has a rather dark coloration. Due to its small size and low, creeping habit, it makes an ideal epiphyte on the hardscape of nano tanks and delicate small-scale aquascapes.
