Bucephalandra sp. "Godzilla"

Catalog Number
AP-0251
Description
"Godzilla" is a medium-sized Bucephalandra that is not yet determined to species. It is said to originate from Sekadau regency in West Kalimantan, Borneo. Its leaves are elongate with fine curly margin. Young leaves are reddish-brown, later becoming deeply dark. The rhizome is quite coarse, growing ascending to upright in the submerged form. With time, the plant forms a clump with many shoots. Also in submerged culture it develops frequently its conspicuous, relatively large inflorescences. As well as other Bucephalandra forms, it is best used as epiphyte on rock or wood, however it can also be fixed to the ground, provided that the rhizome is not buried. It is easily propagated by cuttings. Medium lighting, good CO2 and nutrient supply and water current are recommendable. The growth is very slow. Bucephalandra sp. "Godzilla" is an attractive attached plant for the hardscape. Due to its rather upright submerged growth, it develops a bushy habit with time.
