Description
Deep Purple' is a rare Bucephalandra form that was found in the Kapuas region in the Indonesian part of Borneo. Its species belonging is still unknown. Our plant is propagated in nurseries and is not collected in the nature for the trade.
This attractive Bucephalandra gets relatively large and features elongate-elliptic, short-stalked, horizontal leaves with slightly rippled margin. Under water it develops magnificent purple tones.
As well as other Bucephalandras, 'Deep Purple' is a slowly growing epiphyte for the hardscape. It looks best with medium lighting, good water flow and constant nutrient and CO2 supply.
