Aponogeton madagascariensis "fenestralis" Lace plant

Catalog Number
AP-1036
Description
This especially beautiful variant of the Madagascar laceleaf is traded under the name "Aponogeton fenestralis". It belongs to the variety Aponogeton madagascariensis var. major. Its leaves have a broad shape, the leaf tissue is reduced to the thin nerves, thus forming a delicate lattice structure with regularly arranged, quadrangular perforations. In the midground to background of larger tanks, this form of the Lace plant is a real eyecatcher, as a solitary plant or small, loose group. It does not get as tall as the typical, narrower leaved variety of Aponogeton madagascariensis. The forms of Aponogeton madagascariensis originate from cool, fast flowing, permanent rivers in Madagaskar. They prefer cooler water below 25℃, good water movement, CO2 supply and nutrient-rich bottom. Medium lighting is sufficient. Aponogeton madagascariensis is normally delivered as a bulb without leaves that will sprout in the aquarium. Please note that the bulb that you will receive may be still leafless.
